Indonesia Performing Arts Market (IPAM) 2013 will see a refreshing change of direction reflecting a realignment of Indonesia’s performing arts export strategy promoting our best contemporary work onto the stages of the world’s leading festivals and arts venues. The IPAM 2013 programme includes curated showcases and full length performances of the best contemporary and traditional Indonesian music, dance and theatre along with special events including music from across the archipelago, a focus on East Java, and an introduction to a new generation of contemporary choreographers. IPAM 2013 host city Jakarta led by Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is undergoing a cultural and social transformation. IPAM will be held at Jakarta’s leading centre for contemporary performing arts, Komunitas Salihara, Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), as well as the late night jazz lounge, RedWhite.
