Profile

Retno “Eno” Sulistiorini, the leader of the group bearing her name, was born on June 4th 1984.
She began studying dance as a child and later attended SMKI and STSI dance schools. She developed her creative abilities together with senior choreographers like Sardono W. Kusumo, Jarot B. Darsono, Eko Supriyanto and Ni Kadek Yulia.
In 2007 she attended the visitor’s cultural exchange programs in New York and Chicago, USA.
One year later, in 2008, she participated in Mugi Dance shows in Italy, Holland and Belgium.

Performance: Samparan  - Moving Space
Synopsis

Samparan can be defined as a journey through the vast dimensions of the mind. While watching the performance, the spectator is invited to create his own image of space, to open his mind and stimulate his imagination. The movements, the floating, swirling costume of the dancer as well as the stage setting intensify images of space and form an entity meant to inspire the spectators to reflect on the relationship between themselves and the world around them.
